According to Nielsen Social data, the 2016 version of WWE’s Wrestlemania was the most social event in the company’s history. The program generated 2.5MM mentions on Twitter throughout the day of the event, with 1.3MM of those mentions coming during the broadcast. Not only does the WWE generate a lot of social media eyeballs, it also has one of the most engaged TV audiences out there. The Wrap reported that WWE network subscribers viewed 21.7MM hours of programming during the week. WHAT IF you inserted your brand into those 21.7MM hours? WHAT IF one of the featured wrestlers wore your logo during the event? WHAT IF an icon like The Rock represented his University during the event? This audience is dedicated to the WWE and, as is the case for NASCAR, many are loyal to their favorite performers. WHAT IF that loyalty extended to the brands these influencers support?
